Our Mission

We believe in building strong relationships with our community members to foster trust and cooperation. Our officers actively participate in community events, outreach programs, and educational initiatives to connect with and support those we serve.

About Gail Cobb Project.

The Gail Cobb committee was established by a vote of the membership of the Association of Retired Police Officers D.C. No one on the committee receives any sort of compensation. As a matter of fact, all have donated their own time and money to get us this far.

Our goal is to honor fallen officer Gail A. Cobb with a salute on September 20, 2024, which is 50 years from the date she was shot down in the performance of her duties. In honor of her, we pay tribute to all who have served and continue to serve with honor in law enforcement across our great nation.

Our Goal

The Gail Cobb Project has four primary goals. First, we aim to mail a thousand Salute cards to Gail Cobb's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Cobb. Second, we plan to establish a Gail Cobb scholarship fund for students at Eastern Senior High, the school in Gail's neighborhood. Third, we will establish The Gail Cobb Project as a 501(c)(3) organization to raise tax-deductible funds for the scholarship fund. Finally, we will host an annual Gail Cobb fundraiser in Washington, D.C., to support our mission and honor Gail's legacy.
